We have answers to your questions

Here you will find the answers to frequently asked questions about Elos Accurate®

  • Can I use the Elos Accurate® Prosthetic Screwdriver for both Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Engaging and Non-Engaging?

It depends on which screw you have chosen to use to install the hybrid base. If you have used the Elos Accurate Hexalobular Prosthetic Screw you use Elos Accurate Prosthetic Screwdriver. That screw is the only one you can use if you have angled screw channels. For straight screw channels you can also use the Elos Accurate® Prosthetic Screw and in that case you need to use the screwdriver from the implant manufacturing company.

  • What screwdriver should I use for Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Engaging?

If your construction has straight screw channels, you can use the Elos Accurate Prosthetic Screw and use the screwdriver from the implant manufacturer. You can also choose to use the Elos Accurate Hexalobular Prosthetic Screw, thereby using the same screwdriver for all hybrid bases.

If you have created a construction with angled screw channels you must use the Elos Accurate Hexalobular Prosthetic Screw and the corresponding Elos Accurate Prosthetic Screw Driver.

  • What warranty do you have? What about implant losses?

If you have bought an Elos Accurate product from one of our distributors, please contact your local salesperson for more information. The distributors usually offer a warranty for implant losses.

Elos Medtech offers a 10 year warranty for all our prosthetic components for Elos Accurate Digital Solutions. Complaints are sent to the place of purchase via a complaint form. The complaint should be sent with the failed product attached within 14 days of the incident.

  • Is Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Non-Engaging a plain copy of a TiBase or Variobase?

The Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™ Non-Engaging is an original concept, invented by Elos Medtech.

    • The implant interface is compatible with the major implant systems.
    • The "antennas" on the hybrid base are called GuideGrip™ Technology and secures the position of the crown and simplifies the cementation as well as the try-in on the patient.
    • The u-formed design allows for angled screw channels up to 28°.
    • Specially-designed retention grooves with pre-set cement gap provide a secure cementing.
    • The hybrid base and prosthetic screw are sold separately.

  • Is Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Engaging a plain copy of a Ti-base or Variobase?

The  Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Engaging™ is an original concept, invented by Elos Medtech.

    • The implant interface is compatible with the major implant systems.
    • Can be used for both straight and angled situations up to 28° depending on implant platform..
    • Zero rotation is secured thanks to the design of BaseLock™ anti-rotation feature.
    • The hybrid base and prosthetic screw are sold separately.
    • The three mm cylinder distributes the cement for a secured cementation, preventing loosening of the implant crown.
    • The optimum roughness for cementation is achieved through the cylinder design and by only sand blasting the zirconia material. The retention tests show significant results of the mechanical retention.

  • What should I do if the ”antennas” on the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Non-Engaging are broken or bent?

If one or both of the antennas break, you will lose the grip function. This is however not important for the long-term result of the prosthetic restoration; you can still use Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Non-Engaging without risk. If the antennas bend, you can carefully bend them back to their original position.

  • What should I do if the Elos Accurate® Prosthetic Screw breaks?

If the Elos Accurate® Prosthetic Screw breaks in the patient’s implant, first try to remove the screw pieces with the help of the ultrasonic bath. If this is not successful, we recommend that you refer the patient to a specialist clinic.

If one of our prosthetic components breaks , we would like you to complete and submit a guarantee form so that we become aware of the incident and can send you a new product if it is covered by our guarantee commitment.

The features of Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™are founded on our passion for innovation. Our design philosophy is to simplify digital dentistry with full flexibility in an Open Digital Workflow!

  • I do not understand the difference for when 28° and 30° apply to the different angular possibilities of Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Non-Engaging?

It means that the maximum angle of the screw channel is 28° and that the dental implants can be tilted up to 30°. You can read the full description here.

We also have an angulation guide for each implant brand and platform among our downloadable material.

  • What libraries do I need to work with the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Engaging and Non-Engaging?

For Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base, we have Elos Accurate® Library which is free to download from our website and available for the major softwares

It is important to use our library structure instead of scanning the physical component. All necessary parameters and functions, such as the preset cement gap, are included in the library.

  • For what CAD software can I upload Elos Accurate® Libraries?

We work with the three largest software 3Shape, exocad and Dental Wings. Our analog called Elos Accurate Analog for Printed Models is also available in the Sirona software.

  • How can I download your libraries?

We have Elos Accurate Library available for 3Shape, exocad and Dental Wings. You find the quick guides for the different downloading procedures here.

  • I have problems downloading your library to my exocad software. Do you have a more detailed description?

We have created a film to have this procedure more clearly described. You can also find a quick-guide on how to download the Elos Accurate Library to your exocad software.

Exocad also has a description of this on its website.

  • Which of your libraries should be used for which Elos Accurate® product?

    We have divided our libraries into 4 different groups;

    • Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Engaging

For screw-retained bridges on Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Non-Engaging

    • Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Non-Engaging

For screw- or cement-retained crowns or cement-retained small bridges on Elos Accurate Hybrid Base Engaging

    • Elos Accurate Custom Bar Bridge

For customized bars or bridges directly on the implant or original implant company abutment.

    • Elos Accurate Custom Abutment

For customized single crowns directly on the implant or original implant company abutment.

  • How should I prepare the prosthetic restoration before cementing the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base Engaging or Non-Engaging?

Blast the inner geometry of the milled dental bridge interfacing the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base with aluminium oxide ≤ 50 µm and blasting pressure of two bars. Before cementing, clean the surface thoroughly with alcohol. Note: Blasting of the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™ is not necessary. For more information, download our IFU

Our downloadable material includes guides on the cementing process.

  • What cement should I use with the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base?

We recommend you to use either Multilink® Hybrid Abutment Cement by Ivoclar Vivadent®, Panavia V5 or 3M ESPE RelyX™ self-adhesive cement or for Europe as these are the different cements we have used during our process when developing and testing our product.

  • Which scanbody should I use?

Always the Elos Accurate Scanbody, it can be used both for taking a digital impression using an intra-oral scanner, and for taking a digital impression using a lab scanner if a conventional impression was made by the dentist.

  • I work with Nobel CC and there are two scan bodies available for each platform. How do I choose?

For this specific implant there are two scan body versions available, IO and IO SA. The most important thing to remember is that the dental technician should always choose the same version of the scan body in the software that the dentist has used if an intraoral scan was done.

IO is intended for cases without bone overgrowth and IO SA is intended for cases with bone overgrowth.

Among our downloadable material is a poster with detailed information about the differences between IO and IO SA for Nobel Active and Nobel CC.

  • The PEEK part of the scan body got loose. What did I do wrong?

You probably used too much force when tightening the screw. You should always tighten lightly by hand and no more than 5 Ncm.

  • What kind of models can I create from the Elos Accurate® Model Analog?

The Elos Accurate Model Analog is the natural choice for milled or plaster models depending on in which stage the digital workflow is entered. It can also be used for printed models, but we recommend Elos Accurate Analog for Printed Models with features like self-centering installation, no risk of misplacement in the model and with ability to torque the prosthetic screw to 35 Ncm on the model.

  • In which countries are Elos Accurate products available?

The easiest way to find out what products are available in your country is to enter our web shop and pick your country. The products still visible in the web shop are the ones available for your country.
